How to Enable Developer Mode in Roku TV

Step 1: Go to the Roku home screen

Go to the Home Screen on your Roku TV or Roku device.

Note: connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer

Step 2: Press Developer Mode Remote Sequence

Using the Roku remote, press this button sequence:

Home × 3 → Up × 2 → Right → Left → Right → Left → Right

Step 3: Open Developer Settings

After pressing the sequence, the Developer Settings screen will open on your Roku TV.

Step 4: Enable Installer and Restart

On the Developer Settings screen, select Enable Installer and Restart.

Step 5: Accept Developer Tools License Agreement

Read the Developer Tools License Agreement and select "I Agree" to continue.

Step 6: Set Developer Password

Create a developer web server password when prompted. This password will be used later to access the Roku device from your computer.
The username is usually rokudev.

Step 7: Roku TV Will Restart

After setting the password, your Roku TV will restart automatically.

Step 8: Note Roku TV IP Address

After the restart, go to:

Settings → Network → About

Note the Roku TV IP address.

Step 9: Open Roku IP Address on Computer

On your computer, open a web browser and enter the Roku TV IP address.

Step 10: Sign In to Roku Developer Web Server

Sign in using the Developer Web Server login details.

Username: rokudev
Password: the password you created on Roku TV.

Step 11: Upload and Install App

Upload the Roku application package, .zip then click Install to deploy the app on your Roku TV.
